As part of the AGRICOOP Project, funded under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, the Trabzon Commodity Exchange conducted field visits and held consultations with farmers in various districts of Trabzon on 11–12 June 2026.

During the visits, the impacts of invasive species on various agricultural products, particularly hazelnuts, tea, kiwi fruit, and beans, were examined on-site. In addition, the distribution and population density of these pests were monitored, and evaluations were carried out regarding their current and potential impacts on agricultural production. Based on the observations and findings, negotiations were held on potential strategies and precautions to mitigate the effects of invasive species and enhance the resilience and sustainability of local agricultural production.
