Within the scope of the AGRICOOP project, reference number BSB01005, supported under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, for which the EU Presidency is the National Authority, Stakeholder Meeting of TCE was held.
Within the scope of the “Cooperation through Tech-Based Practices to Struggle Invasive Species and Climate Change for a Sustainable and Resilient Agriculture (AGRICOOP)” project, reference number BSB01005, supported under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, for which the EU Presidency is the National Authority, Stakeholder Meeting of TCE was held.
The meeting was held on February 18, 2026, and saw broad participation from key institutions and organizations in the region. Representatives from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, municipal officials, academics and researchers from relevant university departments, representatives of district agricultural chambers, and industry stakeholders attended the meeting. The project is being implemented by Trabzon Commodity Exchange (TCE) as Lead Partner, in partnership with the Varna Economic Development Agency (PP2), LEPL Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (PP3), and Ondokuz Mayıs University (PP4).
The meeting, held at the Trabzon Commodity Exchange Meeting Hall, laid the groundwork for significant cooperation at both regional and international levels.
The AGRICOOP Project, which will be implemented over a period of 18 months, aims to develop joint, innovative, and technology-based solutions to address the negative impacts of invasive alien species (IAS) and climate change on agricultural production.
Through the project, it is aimed to strengthen sustainable and resilient agricultural practices in the Black Sea Basin, while promoting cross-border knowledge sharing and the development of joint implementation models among partner countries as key priorities.
